Case Study:
UCC Colour Systems
In the 2023/24 season, Uni Cricket Club wanted to strengthen the
Uni spirit by refreshing the traditions of old and heralding in times of new.
We decided on using the existing UCC colour palette to create new patterns
and set representative colours and pattern systems for each of the competing grades.
Below is a breakdown of each colour and a description of the corresponding team.
The Teams
Scholars
Scholars are UCC’s top side.
They are represented by UCC’s primary colour, UCC green.
Qirls
Once misspelled as ‘Qirls’, this name has been officially appropriated to include and welcome queer cricketers to UCC.
Since forming in the 2020/21 cricket season, the Qirls have made convincing finals runs each season, including their first Grand Final win in 2023/24.
Grads
Uni’s hard working mens reserve side. The Grads are always ones to show up and give it their all.
They are represented by UCC’s secondary colour, UCC Yellow.
Masters
A mix of hardened veterans and unseasoned cricketers, the Masters bring a competitive attitude with no barriers.
